God is truly amazing. Liam is the biggest blessing in my life and I thank God everyday for this miracle. Being a mom has made me become a better person and has made me so happy and full of love. There are no words to explain how I much I love Liam.  His big smiles and puckered lips make my day. I love how he’s sweet and kind just like Tommy but also a little sassy like me, lol. (He’s definitely a mama’s boy!) Now that Liam is older, he loves being active and outside. He’s currently obsessed with wagon rides and ripping things apart. I took him to Tiny Boxwood’s Nursery the other day and everything was absolutely beautiful! We walked around looking all the spring blooms and played with a couple of plants. I love watching Liam’s face when he grabs/yanks flowers or dumps out a succulent pot, pure joy.
Mother’s Day is perhaps one of the most important day of the year, it’s a day to celebrate the unconditional love Mom’s have for their children and family, and all their hard work. This Mother’s Day is especially special because it’s my first.
I can truly say that I wouldn’t be the mother I am today without my mom. My mom is the strongest woman I know, she raised and supported four children on her own. She worked day and night to give us everything that we needed (and wanted) and loved us unconditionally. I’m not going to lie and say she supported everything we did (and for good reason), but she was ALWAYS there for us. I still remember while I was pregnant, my mom was one of my biggest supporters. She would call in every hour of the day to check up on me, call me after doctors visit, and freak out about me taking the stairs because it was dangerous, lol. My mom was overprotective when I was pregnant, she even offered to hire a nurse to move in and watch over me! (I was living in San Antonio during my last semester of college and Tommy was away at training, so I wasn’t around a lot of family. Of course, my best friends were constantly there for me.)
My mom has been my rock since day one and been there for Liam the second he came into this world. When Liam was born, my mom was right there beside me. I’m incredibly thankful for her and the way she raised me. Her values have passed down onto my family and especially to Liam. My goal as a mom is to give my son the best life possible, cherish him everyday, and help him accomplish every goal. I see so much of my mom in me when raising my son.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms out there!
xo,
Annie
