HOW TO MIX PATTERNS…

It doesn’t matter what season it is or what is trendy or not, I will always gravitate towards stripes. My closet is organized by stripes and majority of my clothes are stripes. When I first saw this top, I immediately knew I had to have it (it’s also under $50!). Who would have thought that gingham and stripe paired well together. Mixing patterns, especially stripes is always fun. A few classic pattern combos are stripes and leopard, stripes and plaid, and camo and stripes. My favorite combinations are ones that are unexpected; florals and polka dotes, flamingos and stripes, palm prints and polka dots. The key to mixing patterns is to get creative with it, keep a semi color scheme, and to not mix too many patterns. Accessaries are also a great way to incorporate patterns. A classic leopard clutch is a great way to tie in your outfit together or to add a pop. I love mixing patterns because it adds a little more flare into your outfit, especially when you constantly wear stripes like me, lol. Personally, I think that all patterns mix well with stripes. Stripes are timeless and classic.
