FINDING THE PERFECT BASSINET FOR CHLOE…

BASSINET: Micuna

When the time came to finding the perfect bed for Chloe, I knew one thing…that I wanted a bassinet that rocked. Before she was born, we already had plans for Chloe to sleep next to our bed for at least 6 months. When Liam was a newborn, we bought a basic bassinet from Target and he didn’t want to sleep in it. It wasn’t comfortable and it didn’t rock. Liam also had a crib that he probably spent 1 night in. Liam ended up sleeping in our bed and it has been a struggle trying to get him out. Even though I absolutely love sleeping in the same bed as Liam, I know that if I could go back in time, I would have  had him sleep in his own bed.

Chloe is almost 3 weeks and sleeps throughout the night in her bassinet. She actually prefers to sleep alone. It has also been easier on me in the middle of the night as well. Being able to simply sit up in my bed to check up on our daughter in the middle of the night and making sure she’s doing alright has made our nights so much easier. When I saw the Micuna Nacelle, I immediately fell in love with it. The design is modern and sleek, which was exactly what I was looking for. (Their bassinets are also handmade which is something hard to come by these days). When it arrived at our door, I put it together right then and there. It was probably one of the first things that I’ve ever built. It was extremely easy to put together. Liam even tried it out when I finished. The bassinet rocks so smoothly and easily, when I hear Chloe wiggling in the middle of the night, the rocking motion puts her right back to sleep.

I’m pretty sure I got lucky with Chloe because her sleeping schedule is perfect. She will sleep through the night (most of the time) and being a mother of two, I’ll take every sleeping minute I can.

Thank you so much for reading!
