FOUR WAYS TO STYLE A PONCHO…

PONCHO: BP (under $40!) // TEE: Nordstrom // JEANS: AG // BOOTIES: Old (love these) // SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker (rent them here!) // BAG: Louis Vuitton
One trend that I’ve loved for the past few years is the poncho trend. There something about a big warm blanket like cloth wrapped over your body that makes me feel so cozy and chic at the same time. I’m obsessed-all the rich colors and patterns paired with over-the-knee boots, ruffles dresses, and tights. I got this one at Nordstrom for $39. It’s gets restocked a lot and are on back order sometimes, but worth the wait and money. I usually get all my ponchos at Nordstrom because they carry a great selection of ponchos, at all price points!
There are many ways to style your poncho for fall and winter. From street and edgy to feminine and classic, I’m going to share four ways to style them.

WITH OVER THE KNEE BOOTS: Layer your poncho over a dress with OTK boots. Play with the lengths of your outfit. It doesn’t have to be symmetrical. You can style it to where you have about 2-3 inches between your OTK and dress or wear a shorter dress underneath for an edgier look.
BLACK OUT: This style is super easy to recreate, edgy, and will work with {mostly} every poncho. Grab a black tee or sweater, a pair of long black bottoms, and a pair of black boots. Add a scarf if it’s colder or a cute pair of earrings to dress it up.
CLASSIC STYLE: My go to poncho outfit includes a white top, skinny blue jeans, and leather booties (as shown above, lol). This style is perfect for a day out with your hubby or girlfriends. You could also snuggle up with your poncho since you’re already wearing warm clothing underneath. I love using mine as a blanket for Liam!
WITH A SUEDE SKIRT: A couple of trends from last fall are back this year-including suede skirts. They are boho chic and tie in with fall leaves and a PSL. Ponchos with a suede skirts and OTK boots, gives me NYC feels. You can also wear a pair of booties (and tights, if it’s cold) if the OTK boots look “too much”.
I hope these tips help you look effortlessly chic the next time you thrown on you’re favorite poncho!   If you have other ways to style them, I would love to hear it. I also have a coupon code for my sunnies if you want to rent them, I’ve rented all my Karen Walkers and have enjoyed wearing several pairs without paying over $250 per sunglass. Use my code “THEANNIEISSUE” at Ditto when you check out to receive your first month free!
