Happy Monday everyone!
I’ve have always chosen dark & mellow colors over bright and vibrant ones. The leaves changing into a beautiful mustard yellow and crisp orange are one of many reasons why I favor fall. Burgundy tones are back this year and they contrast beautifully against neutrals and olive. I love this shift dress that I snagged from Nordstrom, it’s soft and affordable. It also looks great with OTK boots or layered with a parka coat for transitioning into winter.
Last week my family went through many changes. Tommy came home from deployment (THANK YOU, GOD!), Liam and I moved back to Colorado, we moved into our new home, and have been getting adjusted to everything. Many of yall have been so kind about Tommy coming home and I would like to thank you. On Tuesday around 11:00 p.m. Liam and I went up to an auditorium on base to wait for Tommy. There were so many families and children holding up signs and feeling ready for their soldier to come home. Liam was knocked out at first because it was late, but woke up about 15 minutes later. I’m assuming the popcorn smell woke him up, lol. At 11:30, the ceremony began, they sang, and honored all the soldiers that were deployed. When they released Tommy, he went towards us as I was struggling to get down from the bleachers with a toddler, lol. He grabbed Liam first and it was beyond sweet. Liam didn’t cry or anything, he was just surprised. Tommy could stop smiling when he saw us. Liam surprised as by how well he was doing with Tommy. We’ve have been catching up on everything since then. Liam and Tommy have been inseparable, he still favors me but I’m sure that with a little more time, they are going to go on many son and father adventures.
Thank you so much for reading!
