If you haven’t noticed from my overload of pictures on Instagram this weekend, Liam and I went on a little getaway trip to Lake Charles. It was so much fun! We stayed at Golden Nugget Casino & Hotel…even though it’s a casino, there are a couple of other things to do there that are great for families. They have a beach style pool for little kids, a lazy river, a little beach, gardens to play in, a golf course, and tons of restaurants. They are all located in the same place too! So you never have to drive anywhere.
The first thing we did was go to the pool… Liam had never been swimming before so, I was extremely excited to see him play in the water. I didn’t get arm floats for him because he’s still too little to be left afloat alone. The pool here is great for children because of the beach style design, there’s also a line that divides the children & adults sections. (The casino does play music on their speakers but nothing extremely loud.) When Liam touched the water, he was a little confused at first (he probably thought it was a huge bathtub, lol), but then loved it! He kept making this little kissey face (like the picture above) and it was the cutest thing. I’m in love with all of his adorable, silly faces! He does this one face where he elongates his mouth every time he looks at a mirror and I die laughing, he gets that goofy side from Tommy, for sure!
It was also really sunny, so I applied some sunscreen on him before going out. I used this sunscreen on him…I honestly love the Honest Company, they have great quality items that are hypoallergenic and great for children (and adults). I have everything from diapers and wipes to cleaning supplies. His top is UPF 40 so that helped protect him as well. I’m beyond obsessed with Liam’s outfit from Gap, especially his fedora (6-12 months size)! He wore it the entire trip and everyone kept giving him compliments :).
Here is our video I made from our trip, I hope yall enjoy! There will definitely be more post from our trip this weekend 🙂
