Yep, that time of the year has arrived. The time of the year where everyone is talking about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. You’ve probably already read a few blog post or articles about the sale so I’m not going to waste your time. I’ll be very quick and straight forward about how to prep for the sale, what to buy, and my honest thought on what you should and should not buy. I do want to state that this is my FAVORITE sale of the year!! I look forward to it every year and can’t wait to start shopping the sale and sharing the amazing deals with everyone. Here are a few Q&A…
What’s the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
It’s a fall PRE-sale where items are up to 40% off. These items are brand new and haven’t been in stores yet. Unlike most sales, after this sale ends, the prices go back up to their original prices.
What is on sale during the #NSale
Fall items! Mens, women, and children’s booties, sweaters, jackets, jeans, and more are all on sale. I would say 70% of items are fall and the rest are either home, beauty, baby products, or new summer styles.
When is it? How do I get access?
“Early Access” starts July 12th. “Public” shopping dates are July 20th-August 5th.
You do need a Nordstrom credit or debit card for early access! Or you could go with a friend that has one! I suggest getting everything during early access because by the time the public (which means anyone can shop it, regardless if they have a Nordstrom card or not) sizes are extremely limited and most things are sold out.
What should I buy?
This is the tricky part and I’ll break it down based on one question…when does it actually start getting cold where you live? If your “fall” weather doesn’t start until November (like Houston, Tx), I do not suggest buying a bunch of sweaters and jackets unless you’re dying to have it. Why? Because by the time you’re finally able to wear it, it’s probably already remarked down again because the Fall season is technically over. Therefore, Nordstrom will have their Fall markdown. I do suggest buying shoes! You can easily style booties in the warmer weathers with a cute shift dress for a fall look and not sweat your butt off.
If you do live in a state that actually has 4 seasons. I’d buy it all, lol. Shoes, coats under $150, and fall staples (jeans, cardigans, tees) will sell out the fastest so keep that in mind.
When it comes to beauty, home, baby products, or intimates, I suggest buying it asap. You’ll use those things immediately and the prices are great. You could also use this time to buy Christmas gifts too. It is early but its one thing you don’t have to stress about later on.

Let me know if yall have any more questions.
