MAESTRA BAG IN PEBBLED CREAM ($50 OFF $300+: THEANNIEISSUE)
When it comes to designer handbags, the first question that comes to mind is “Is it worth it”? After eyeing the Senreve Maestra bag for over a year, I finally got my hands on this beautiful white one! I first saw this bag last year on Rachel Parcell and IMMEDIATELY fell in love with it.
I’ve worn this one for over a month now and wanted to answer all the questions I received and questions that I ask myself when investing in a designer bag.
WHAT SIZES DOES THE MAESTRA BAG COME IN?
The Maestra style comes in 3 sizes; mini, midi, and original. I have the original size and it’s the largest. The midi is slighter small and the mini is more of a crossbody style. When I’m looking at handbags, I love larger size bags. This one fits my MacBook Pro, Chloe’s diapers and extra clothes, and all of my everyday necessities. There’s the option to wear it as a crossbody but in my option it’s too large to sit on my hip so I prefer to wear it down the side (like this).
IS IT VERSATILE?
This is the most versatile bag that I own. The are so many ways to wear it without changing out any straps and that was what attracted me to the bag. All 3 sizes can be worn and a shoulder bag, handbag, crossbody, AND backpack! The straps are all adjustable for length as well. It truly can be used as a workbag, everyday bag, diaper bag, and classy handbag. What other bag does that? I personally don’t own or have ever seen any other bag that can be used as much as this one. Whenever I visit my mom, I put my laptop in the designated sleeve, my sleeping clothes, and Chloe’s diapers. The structure of it is designed really well so it doesn’t flap out or anything. HOW LIGHT/HEAVY IS IT?
The empty bag with everyday essentials; wallet, chapstick, hand sanitizer, etc is comfortable enough for all day wear (any wearable option). When I put diapers and wipes or my laptop in it, it does get a big heavy after awhile on my shoulder and arm. That’s why I think the backpack option is absolutely AMAZING! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve put all Chloe’s stuff it in and wore it as a backpack. Wearing it as a backpack helps disturb the weight and I love that the bag still looks super sleek. It doesn’t look like a “mom backpack” that I stuffed with diapers and toddler snacks (which is probably what’s in my bag, lol).
HOW IS THE MAINTENANCE?
Of course, when you invest in a bag, you’re going to want to keep it in pristine condition. This is the only bag I own that is water and stain resistance on the outside and stain resistance on the micro suede inside. I’m someone that is always on the go and always around children. You’d think buying a white bag with children is crazy but not this one. I’ve already wiped off accidental spills and it looks brand new. I personally use an organic baby wipe to clean it.
IS IT WORTH IT?
If you’re going to splurge on a handbag, this IS the first bag I recommend. 100% the versatility of it, clean unique sleek design, and high quality Italian leather makes it worth it in my opinion. Again, you have to ask yourself if a handbag is worth it to you? My opinion of worth may be different but when we’re talking about investing in a handbag that you can potentially pass down and use for 5+ years, this is my first choice.
